Four more winners of the Pennsylvania Eastern Regional Golden Gloves Championships, by virtue of their victories in the state finals held Saturday in Pittsburgh, have had their tickets punched to the National Golden Gloves tournament April 25-30 in Indianapolis.
Jesse Hart, son of former middleweight contender Eugene “Cyclone” Hart, was in control of his 165-pound match against Scott Bradley when the referee stepped in to save Bradley from further punishment. Anthony Burgin, in the 132-pound weight class, also cruised in stopping Rosilindo Morales.
Samuel Teah won in the 141-pound final, while Arturo Trujillo dominated at 152 .
Stephen Fulton Jr., 108 pounds, Emmanuel Folly, and Vidal Rivera had already qualified for the nationals, as had Kymberli Stowe, a 132-pounder in the female division.
