Air Force Falcons Post 3-0 Record in New York

Logan Brandt

With three seniors on the card, the Air Force boxing team posted a perfect record at the NCBA Showcase on Monday, Nov. 19, in New York City. Logan Brandt was named the program’s Boxer of the Week, claiming his first such honor of the season.

Competing in the 175-pound bout at the New York Athletic Club, Brandt defeated Navy’s Angelo Lonero for the second time this season (Brandt also defeated Lonero at the Service Academy Classic). Glenn Miltenberg also earned a decision over a service academy rival, taking the victory over Numberto Perez of the Coast Guard.

Drew Pineda was scheduled to compete in a 119-pound contest, but his opponent from UNLV was unable to compete, so Pineda won by walkover.

119-lbs: Drew Pineda (Air Force) walkover
156-lbs: Glenn Miltenberg (Air Force) dec. Numberto Perez (Coast Guard)
175-lbs: Logan Brandt (Air Force) dec. Angelo Lonero (Navy)
