USIBA Announces $10,000 College Boxing Scholarship

How would you like to box in college AND receive a $10,000 scholarship, to boot?

Good news—you can!

Simply apply for USIBA’s Ira Mitzner collegiate boxing scholarship (and win it). Here are the details.

Who Can Apply For the Scholarship

Any currently enrolled student attending a four-year college or university, who is also a competitive boxer for a United States Intercollegiate Boxing Association member club.
OR
Any high school senior accepted to a four year college or university, who will be a competitive boxer for a United States Intercollegiate Boxing Association member club.

To be considered for the scholarship the student must submit:

  1. Completed application
  2. Letter of recommendation from their current coach
  3. Copy of their current transcripts
  4. Signed release form allowing us to contact your school

Financial need, GPA and a demonstrated commitment to academics will be considered in the selection process.

All applications must be submitted by June 1, 2014.
The recipient of the scholarship will be announced on August 1, 2014.
The scholarship will be applied to the cost of tuition and paid directly to the recipient’s college or university in two installments of $5000 each.
